From Installation to Operational Production
Installing industrial equipment is only one part of delivering a functioning production facility.
Before a production system can operate as an integrated facility, its mechanical, electrical, piping, utility, process, and automation systems need to be checked, coordinated, tested, and brought into operation.
Electro Mechanic provides commissioning as part of its wider industrial engineering capability, supporting projects from initial planning and installation through testing, commissioning, and operational start-up.
Our project-delivery approach specifically covers the complete lifecycle from feasibility and technical assessment through engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning, and operational start-up support.
Complete Industrial Commissioning Services
Commissioning requirements vary according to the production process, equipment configuration, and overall project scope. Electro Mechanic coordinates commissioning activities with the systems installed within the facility.
Production Line Commissioning
Production equipment and connected systems are tested as an integrated production line rather than as isolated machines. The objective is to verify that the installed equipment works together as intended within the overall production environment.
Mechanical System Testing
Mechanical systems are checked as part of the commissioning process, including installed equipment, tanks, pumps, process systems, and related components.
Piping System Verification
Process and utility piping form an important part of an industrial installation. Commissioning activities can include coordination and verification of piping systems and their connections to equipment and utilities.
Utility System Commissioning
Production depends on supporting utilities such as steam, water, compressed air, and cooling. These systems need to be coordinated with the equipment and production process before the facility moves into operation.
Electrical System Integration
Electrical infrastructure, equipment connections, control panels, and related systems are coordinated with the production and automation environment.
Automation & Control Testing
PLC, SCADA, HMI, control panels, and other automation systems need to operate together with the equipment they control. Automation testing is therefore coordinated with the wider commissioning process.
CIP System Integration
Where Clean-in-Place systems form part of the facility, CIP equipment, process connections, piping, utilities, and controls can be incorporated into commissioning activities.
Operational Start-Up Support
Commissioning is followed by the transition toward actual production operation. Electro Mechanic’s project-delivery scope includes testing, commissioning, and full operational start-up support.
Why Industrial Commissioning Matters?
A production facility can contain many interconnected systems. A production machine may depend on electrical power, process piping, compressed air, cooling, steam, water, automation, and other supporting systems.
Commissioning brings these systems together before the facility moves into normal operation.
Verify System Integration
Commissioning helps confirm that equipment and supporting systems operate together as an integrated facility.
Identify Issues Before Production
Testing provides an opportunity to identify installation or integration issues before normal production begins.
Coordinate Multiple Engineering Systems
Mechanical, electrical, piping, utilities, automation, and production equipment can be evaluated together rather than independently.
Support Operational Readiness
The objective of commissioning is to move the facility from an installed system toward an operational production environment.
Improve Start-Up Coordination
A structured commissioning process provides a controlled transition from installation and testing into production start-up.
Connect Engineering With Operations
Commissioning also provides an important link between the technical installation and the people who will operate the facility.
Applications
Stainless Steel Solutions Across Processing Industries
Stainless steel fabrication requirements vary according to the production process, equipment, and operating environment. Electro Mechanic provides fabrication solutions across several industrial applications.
Food & Beverage
Stainless steel tanks, structures, process components, and supporting fabrication for food and beverage production environments.
Dairy
Stainless steel solutions for dairy processing equipment, hygienic production environments, process systems, and supporting infrastructure.
Concentrates & Preserved Foods
Fabrication supporting fruit concentrate, tomato paste, sauce, and preserved-food production systems.
Pharmaceuticals
Stainless steel process-support solutions for pharmaceutical production environments according to the requirements of the individual project.
Our Industrial Commissioning Process
01 — Pre-Commissioning Review
Before testing begins, the installed systems and project scope are reviewed to establish what needs to be checked and coordinated. This includes production equipment, mechanical systems, piping, utilities, electrical infrastructure, and automation.
02 — System Verification
Individual systems and their connections are reviewed to ensure that the installed components correspond with the intended project configuration.
03 — Equipment & Utility Testing
Production equipment is tested together with the utilities and supporting infrastructure required for operation. Steam, water, compressed air, cooling, electrical systems, and other relevant services are considered according to the facility.
04 — Automation & Control Testing
PLC, SCADA, HMI, control panels, and connected equipment are tested to verify communication and coordinated operation.
05 — Integrated System Commissioning
The individual systems are brought together and tested as an integrated production environment. This stage is particularly important for production lines containing equipment and systems from multiple suppliers.
06 — Production Start-Up, Support & Handover
Once the relevant systems have been tested and coordinated, the project moves toward operational start-up. Where included within the project scope, operators can receive training and support as the facility transitions into normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions About Commissioning Services
Industrial commissioning is the process of testing, coordinating, and bringing installed equipment and interconnected plant systems into operational service.
Yes. Commissioning forms part of Electro Mechanic’s complete project-delivery capability, including production-line installation and operational start-up support.
Depending on the project, commissioning can involve production equipment, mechanical systems, piping, utilities, electrical infrastructure, automation, CIP systems, and related plant systems.
Yes. Electro Mechanic’s project experience includes complete production-line installation followed by commissioning and operator training, including the Agrumaria Reggina juice and soft-drink project.
Operator training can be included within the project scope. It formed part of the Agrumaria Reggina project and is also referenced in the Nestlé project scope.
Electro Mechanic’s project experience includes integration of equipment and components from international suppliers within broader industrial installations. The commissioning approach is therefore coordinated around the complete project rather than a single equipment package.
Yes. Commissioning is specifically included within Electro Mechanic’s full project-delivery scope, which extends from feasibility and engineering through installation, testing, commissioning, and operational start-up support.
Commissioning should be considered during the engineering and installation stages because production equipment, utilities, electrical systems, piping, and automation ultimately need to operate together.
From Installation to Production
A successful industrial project does not end when equipment is physically installed. The final objective is a functioning production environment in which the equipment, utilities, mechanical systems, electrical infrastructure, piping, automation, and supporting systems work together.
